True maturity takes time

Daily prophetic word
Increasing Your Spiritual Stature
"For I am causing you to grow in your mature wisdom," says the Spirit.   "Even the way some people are responding to you now will begin to change as your stature increases and you will have greater favor with them in the days ahead," says the Lord.

Prophetic Scripture:
Luke 2:52 - And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

We assume because Jesus was the Son of God, that He was born into perfect maturity.  However, although He did not commit sin in His life, He did have to grow up from childhood and all the things that go with that.  Notice that is says Jesus increased in wisdom.  That means it wasn't just automatic, but was something He developed in His life as He grew up.  Well, if Jesus had to increase in wisdom, then who are we kidding!  We need to grow also, and cannot assume that we are always mature about everything.  Often we assume that when certain people respond to us negatively in certain situations, it is because they don't understand us or accept us.  Sometimes it is not that they not trying to mistreat us, but instead are actually resonding to some of our childlike behaviors, which are not necessarily all bad.  Many of these things take time to outgrow and that is okay.  We don't expect our young children to eat their food as neatly as an adult.  As good parents we teach them good table manners that they can develop over time.  it is the same way with us in our spiritual growth.  True maturity takes time, but the key is that we need to make sure we are making progress in our growth.  We need to realize the Lord will help us mature in our spiritual stature before others, just the way the Lord anointed Jesus to do so.  With that we will find ourselves growing and enjoying an increase of favor upon our lives as we deal with people in so many walks of life.  Be confident that God is increasing your spiritual stature today!

Prayer:

Dear Lord, I thank You that You are increasing my spiritual stature and maturity today.  Teach me how to grow in all walks of life, so that I will have favor will all those that come into contact with.  I ask You to anoint me with the power of spiritual maturity and wisdom the way that Jesus was anointed.  I thank You for that today!  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Increase in GRACE

Daily prophetic word
The Church of Great Grace
"Even as evil in the world increases, so will I increase My grace upon you," says the Lord.  "For with great power will the church be able to declare My name among the heathen and she will not be in need of anything."

Prophetic Scripture:
Acts 4:33 - And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Jesus said that in the last days the spirit of lawlessness would increase in the world.  I think with all of the things going on in some of our cultures lawlessness truly has increased.  More things are being written in the law books that defend lifestyles and practices that are in direct contradiction to the Bible, which is the law of God.  So what is the church to do as society races toward wickedness?  Well, we can find a great example from the early apostles.  It was not an accident that the early Christians had to find their beginning in a governmental setting, the Roman Empire, that was far from godly.  In fact, it was known for many unbelieveable atrocities and Christians were dying for their faith.  Yet, thousands came to the Lord and some of the greatest miracles recorded were in this very setting.  Grace is most powerful in the midst of a conflict.  That is how you know grace is real!  When the evil hand of government was heavy against the early church, the power of God on them only increased.  God gave them great grace to stand up to it all. Notice that the early church lacked in nothing!  We have to believe in and be confident of that same power for us today.  In power we will be a great witness in our communities and many who have stood for evil will turn to righteousness and those who resist the work of God will not be able to keep God's people from growing in power and number.  In this hour, we won't come up short and in need, but the power of God is going to manifest so we can deal with the evils of the day.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, I trust You for a measure of great grace upon my life and upon the church today.  Cause a new boldness to be upon us Lord, that we might be a witness filled with power!  I declare that great grace is upon me, my family, and my church.  Thank You Jesus!  Amen.

God laughs at recession

Daily prophetic word
Recession Has No Power!
"In the talk of economical recession, I laugh," says the Lord.  "Know that even as the birds fed Elijah by the river, so will I feed My children and care for them in ways that will baffle the world.  So fear not the power of recession and lack that comes to steal, but fear the Living God who brings impossible abundance among you!"

Prophetic Scripture:
John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:  I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.

Many economies around the world are stuggling and the pending fear of recession and even in some cases depression are always before us.  People are concerned about losing their jobs, finding solid work, maintaining a successful business and so on.  Yet, as the people of God, our confidence cannot be in our economy or even our income.  Our trust has to be the Lord.  Jesus said that on this earth, corruption exists.  In other words, a thief called the devil is here to steal from people.  Yet, when Jesus is our Lord and governing our lives we don't have to fear being stolen from or living without provision.  The Bible clearly shows us throughout Scripture, that God has always supplied for His people.  We even find in 1 Kings 17, that the Lord supplied for Elijah in a miraculous way by sending ravens to bring him food.  God wants to give us an abundant life of supply, but we will never walk in that type of abundance if we keep looking over our shoulder in fear of economic or financial ruin.  God laughs at recession because He knows that He is much greater  than all of that.  When the Lord is your source, you don't have to fear economic ruin because God will always supply for His children even in the most unusual and exepected ways!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I rejoice that I am part of the kingdom of Heaven and I do not have to fear economic collapse or recession.  I place all my confidence in You today.  You are my source of abundant supply and nothing shall be able to harm, steal or destroy me or my family.  I laugh in the face of recession and expect supernatural supply of blessing today!  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Tender-hearted

Daily prophetic word
Acts of Kindness
"This day in all you do, do it with kindness," says God. "For it is in kindness and tenderhearted love that I am found.  Reach out through acts of kindness and I will be found of you to meet all your needs."

Prophetic Scripture:
Ephesians 4:32 - And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

I recently heard a story about a group of Christian people who formed a committee to criticize and sue a particular ministry because they didn't like some things that ministry was doing.  Now, I don't know all the details of that ministry or even the entire story, so this is not to say who was right or wrong in the situation.  I am sure both sides had some valid arguments  However, what I do know for sure is that when we lash out in anger or backbiting, and create attempts to tear down one another in the church, we are missing one important ingredient.  It is called kindness.  God doesn't look for our great position on the issue and how right we are about something.  He looks for kindness, especially when we don't feel like being kind.  That is when kindness becomes so powerful.  You see, God sends rain to be a blessing on both the evil and the good.  In other words, even when He has the right to destroy the most wicked people, He does an act of kindness.  The verse above says we should find tenderness in our hearts for each other.  That means that we should  never be cold-hearted and harsh, even when we think we are right.  When we choose kindness, we are painting a picture of God.  The next time you wonder whether your acts toward others are kind or not, ask yourself what it would be like to be in their shoes, if someone else were doing that to you.  When you don't know for sure, err on the side of mercy, because one day you may be on the side of needing the kindness and mercy of someone else.  Do something kind for someone today.  Without question, you will find God right there participating in it with you.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, Teach me how to walk in kindness today.  I ask You to forgive me for treating others unkindly at times.  Give me a tender heart today and show me how to be a person who is kind.  I forgive every person and choose to be obedient to the law of kindness that says, if I sow acts of kindness, I will reap the same.  I thank You Lord, for that truth today.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Financial Breakthrough

Daily prophetic word
Final Encouragement
For the Spirit says, "Trust Me this day, regarding all your financial concerns, and even as I supplied the coin in the mouth of the fish, so will I supply for you in a supernatural way!"

Prophetic Scripture:
Matthew 17:27 - …go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and tak up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money:  that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

When Jesus performed the miracle of paying tax from the money supplied in the mouth of a fish, we can find in the story some prophetic revelation that teaches us how to trust God for our financial supply.  First, Jesus had Peter obtain the needed money through something that seemed out of the ordinary and impossible.  Often when it comes to our financial situation, we don't look for God to supply through the unexpected.  Then notice that Jesus told him to "go to the sea and cast a hook,"  How many times do we just sit around and complain about our financial issue, but we don't do anything to position ourself for a blessing.  We never go looking for it!  Peter could have just stayed on the shore and viewed Jesus' request as ridiculous, but he went somewhere instead.  Peter had to do something that revealed that he was participating in a miracle.  Start acting like you know a miracle is about to happen for you!  Notice what else Jesus told Peter.  He said, "thou shalt find a piece of money."  Think of how many financial promises are listed in the Bible.  It is as if Jesus is saying, "thou shalt find your financial breakthrough!"  You need to be encouraged and take the biblical promises of God concerning provision and hold onto them expecting a miracle.  Lastly, Jesus instructed Peter to take the money that was supplied and use it wisely.   When God supplies for you, then take that provision and be a good steward with it.  Know that the Lord wants to help you with your financial issues today.  Believe Him, expect His blessings and be encouraged about your finances today!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that You, and You alone, are my financial source.  I know that You want to supply for me in the most supernatural ways.  I look for a miracle today, beyond all that is possible.  This is my day to receive news of financial encouragement and breakthrough.  Thank You, Lord.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

He will reward you ...

Daily prophetic word
It's Payback Time!
"This is the time, yes it is payback time!" says the Spirit.  "Know that all your work shall be rewarded and what the enemy has tried to steal from your hand shall be brought back to you in its  full measure during this season!"

Prophetic Scripture:
Ruth 2:12 - The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust,

That is the prophetic sound for this season in the Spirit.  God's prophets have been speaking, "payback time."  That means to get in on the blessing you need to use your faith and claim that for your own life.  Start getting up each morning and saying, "this is my day of reward, it's my payback time."  It doesn't matter what things look like, what matters is knowing that God is paying us back for what the enemy has stolen.  Why does the Lord do that?  It is because God is just and when He sees that we have done righteously and the devil has come into our lives to steal, kill and destroy, God tallies up the final score.  The Lord always finds the devil without another hand to deal.  The devil loses. The righteous always win out over evil.  Be confident today that it is payback time in the spirit and your full reward is upon you!

Prayer:

Dear Lord, I declare, payback, payback, payback, over my life today!  I trust You and know that You are rewarding me for following You and putting Your Word to practice in my life.  So , I tell the devil today, "You bring back everything you have stolen!  I command ________________________ to be brought back to me right now, in Jesus' Name!  Father, I receive all You have for me today and I expect it right now.  In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Develop New Habits

Daily prophetic word
Old Habits Broken!
"So see, that I have placed the strength in you to break the old habits and mindsets," says God.  "I will cause you to rise above what seems to draw you back into failure, for know that I have made you able to stand confidently in the spirit, even this very day."

Prophetic Scripture:
Romans 7:23-25 - But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  O wretched man that I am!  Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is an old saying that says old habits die hard.  In other words, the longer something has lived with you, the harder it is to get rid of it.  Recently, I decided to clean out our family coat closet.  I started pulling things from the closet and to my surprise there were things stored in that small space that I didn't even know how they got in there!  They had been in there so long, and should have been thrown away months ago.  The problem was that they had been sitting in the back of the closet undetected.  It is the same with bad habits in our lives.  They just sit there in the back of our minds and we don't always address the fact that they need to be thrown away!  However, these habits are often like some of those things we pull from the closet.  We have a hard time letting go of them!  We know we don't need them, but we struggle to let them go!  Some of these habits, might be secret sins.  Others may just be little quirks that are a part of our daily life which everyone around you notices, and they will happily agree that you need to remove them!  The Apostle Paul apparently had a hard time getting rid of a few habits too.  From the verse above it seems he struggled trying to remove some things.  The key he found, according to the verse above, was that Jesus is not afraid to put some of these items in the trash for us, if we will let Him.  How do we do that?  Romans 8:1-13, gives us a key.  It says that those who run toward spiritual things will be empowerd to overcome habits, but those who constantly focus on earthly things will keep their habits snuggly packed away in the closets of their life.  Jesus can deliver us from bad habits, if we will put our focus on the things of the spirit everyday and be willing to see every closet clean and clear!

Prayer:

Dear Lord, I thank You that Jesus has delivered me from every bad habit today.  I ask that You would come into all the closets of my life and help me clean out every part of them.  I command the bad habit(s) of _________________________ to leave my life right now!  I rise up to build new habits today in all areas of living.  Teach me Holy Spirit how to develop good habits today!  In the Name of Jesus, Amen!
